Choosing a top surgeon for your plastic surgery procedure is very important. Guerra Plastic Surgery Center in Scottsdale has been helping Valley patients achieve beautiful results.
Before and after breast augmentation photos of a surgeon’s work tell you a lot about a surgeon’s philosophy and level of skill. This is a great way to learn what the best choice is for you because you learn about the different types of breast implants and how they lead to slightly different breast results. Once you see the process similar patients have gone through to achieve the beautiful and stunning results of Dr. Aldo’s expertise, you will be more confident and feel more comfortable with the results you are looking for.

There are several important considerations when it comes to choosing breast implants for your desired result - type, material, and shape. Breast implants have a silicone shell on the outside with a choice between two different fills. The first option silicone implants, is a cohesive silicone gel material which offers the most natural feel and look to the breast. The second option saline implants, is saline, a medical grade salt solution which gives a patient a perkier, rounder, and more fake looking breast. Both are designed with different shapes that vary the amount of forward breast projection and width of the implant according to your preference.
Dr. Aldo offers the latest Mentor® MemoryShape® Teardrop and MemoryGel® round breast implants that are Made in the USA.
The most important consideration when seeking breast augmentation will be choosing a well-trained and experienced plastic surgeon. Surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery have the highest level of training. We believe choosing a plastic surgeon that specializes in breast augmentation is critical to achieving the best results which is why Dr. Aldo Guerra understands the importance of specializing in breast implants and breast augmentation.
Dr. Aldo Guerra was selected Top Doctor by his peers in the Phoenix Magazine.
There are three types of breast augmentation incisions to choose from - crease, axilla, and areola. Dr. Aldo recommends the crease incision for the vast majority of breast augmentation patients. Historically, this has been the most reliable breast augmentation incision and offers several advantages when compared to the axilla and areola incisions for the following reasons:
While all three incisions are offered, patients should carefully consider the differences in each option.
Dr. Aldo recommends the breast crease incision.

Embrace® Active Scar Defense is the best scar therapy treatment that we found for breast augmentation incisions. In fact, it’s the only Level 1 FDA Approved scar therapy treatment on the market. Embrace® is a silicone dressing that is applied a few weeks after surgery and it helps to reduce tension while also applying the silicone sheet over the incision. Guerra Plastic Surgery Center offers Embrace® to all of our breast augmentation procedures as an added option. In determining the best look for the patient, one can choose to have their breast implants placed under or over the pectoral muscle.
The most recommended placement is having it placed under the muscle as it has the most advantages. When breast implants are under the muscle, studies have shown softer and more natural-looking breasts, a lower risk of capsule contracture, and improved long-term results.
When implants are placed above the muscle, the capsule contracture rate can be as much as six times higher. To reduce the contracture rate with above muscle placement, we offer textured breast implants. Above the muscle placement offers advantages to only a small number of patients.
45% increase in breast augmentation for 2011 in the US.
Dr. Aldo recommends the under the muscle breast implant placement.
Your safety is our number one priority from start to finish which is why our facilities and anesthesiologists play an important role in your surgery.
We use only facilities that are appropriately accredited. Accredited facilities obtain their certification after meeting the highest standards for efficiency and safety. Their team of nurses and staff come with experience to provide you exemplary care.
We only recommend that your anesthesia be performed by an experienced and well-trained anesthesia physician, and we ensure ours are all board certified in their specialty. Some practices use an anesthesia nurse while other plastic surgeons do their own anesthesia while simultaneously performing your operation. We, however, believe a dedicated anesthesia physician is an important part of the team that will increase your safety and well-being.
Dr. Aldo recommends accredited surgical facilities and MD anesthesiologists in Arizona.
We believe it is important to incorporate new technologies that improve patient outcomes in our breast augmentation AZ practice. The Keller Funnel™ is a state-of-the-art technology that offers a reliable way to deliver silicone breast implants using a true “no-touch” technique. For years, plastic surgeons looked for a way to place breast implants into the breast pocket while simultaneously avoiding contact between the skin and breast implant for a smoother result. The Keller Funnel™ is the only delivery device that has been shown to do this in a scientific study. The advantage is a reduction in the rate of capsular contracture, a smaller incision, and a less traumatic insertion for a faster recovery.
Dr. Aldo highly recommends the Keller Funnel™.
